PERMITTING

Permitting can sometimes be a confusing and time-consuming process. With all of the county and state regulations and requirements, most people find the permitting to be the worst part of the entire project. Thankfully, our team is ready to help! We are happy to guide you through the steps or we can take that aspect of the project off your shoulders completely. Please let us know how we can be of service!

FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS

If your property is not part of a subdivision, if there is no COSA on file with the county, or if there is a current septic system in place to which you are wanting to make changes/expand/etc., then it is likely that your project will need to be engineered. Since there are many nuances to this requirement, we always encourage clients to call us with the particulars of their situation and their property. Estimates and consultations are always free.

Generally speaking, you should plan on at least 30 days. However, the amount of time it takes to engineer a project is dependent on factors such as the scope of the project, the time of year, and the responsiveness of the County Health Department and/or the MT DEQ.

We would be happy to assist you in getting a septic permit! Otherwise, you can find resources for the various counties below:

Yellowstone County

Stillwater County

Engineering typically starts around $5000 but varies depending on the project requirements.
